Three against the night

Combat plays itself out β€” a war of attrition down thirteen encounters with no rest. Your one real decision is who marches.

Six heroes so far β€” earth, lightning, water, fire, spirit. Pick three; the road ahead tells you which.

One turn of the day

  1. β˜€οΈ

    By day, the shrine

Spend gold, spirit and souls: level heroes, raise the shrine, recruit the next of your parade.

  2. πŸŒ™

    By night, the parade

The lanterns light and the road opens. Thirteen encounters, an elite, a boss β€” watched, not fought.

  3. πŸŒ…

    By dawn, the reckoning

However far you reached, you carry the haul home. Then the shrine again β€” a little stronger.

Before you begin

Is YOKAI: Night Parade free to play?
Yes. YOKAI: Night Parade is completely free to play, with no purchase required to start or to keep playing.
Do I need to download anything?
No. It's a browser-based Progressive Web App β€” play instantly at yokainight.shoshinsystems.net on desktop or mobile, or add it to your home screen for an app-like feel.
Do I have to actively fight, or is it idle?
Combat resolves automatically each night. Your ongoing decisions are which three heroes to send and how to spend Gold and Spirit at the shrine between runs β€” plus an offline-progress haul waiting when you come back.
What kind of RPG is it β€” turn-based, gacha, real-time?
A pixel-art hero-collector idle RPG: raise a shrine by day, then a party of three heroes marches an automatic battle down a thirteen-node road of yōkai by night. Six heroes are available so far, each aligned to one of five elements (fire, earth, lightning, water, spirit) in a rock-paper-scissors advantage cycle.

The parade forms at dusk.
